Mirage

Are you recently engaged? Be sure to ask about our ‘special pricing’ for newly engaged couples. Mirage, an award winning (past recipient of “The Knot Best of Weddings” band), 8 piece band with 20+ years experience, is your premium source (without the premium price) for high energy musical entertainment specializing in wedding receptions, corporate functions and more. Clients consistently compliment the band (check out our testimonial page) for their accessibility, willingness to personalize each performance and almost magical ability to engage guests at each event. From beginning to end, Mirage serves up a class act that all age groups enjoy -from today's dance music to the sounds of the big band era. Always fresh and entertaining, Mirage brings its' own brand of excitement and fun to each and every event. From countless wedding receptions, a feature on Fox 2 News to an engagement at The Fabulous Fox Theater, to pre-game entertainment at The Jones Dome for the St. Louis Rams, Mirage entertains those that are young and those young at heart. Mirage consists of 8 pieces - keyboards, bass and rhythm guitars, drums, a dynamic female vocalist (who tours with the United States Air Force Band when not performing with Mirage and is truly ONE OF THE BEST in the St. Louis area) and a wonderfully talented horn section of trumpet, sax and trombone. We are proud to say Mirage still contains several of the founding members (a characteristic not found in most bands who may change personnel year to year) - while the horn section (though not with Mirage from the beginning), has “played together” for 30 years. What this means to our clients is a unified group of musicians who truly enjoy performing with one another and is evident by the fun they have on stage. Mirage adds to it's diversity with ALL members contributing vocally, adding a full rich sound not prevalent in most bands, with only a singer or two up front. While we are very proud of our past accomplishments, awards, client comments, et al, we let our product speak for itself – meaning we invite you to come out and experience Mirage at a live performance. Out of respect for our client’s privacy, we do NOT print our private event schedule on our website. However, we’ll be happy to make the necessary arrangements for you to come out and hear the band live, something we highly recommend. For your convenience, Mirage does accept credit card payments. Most importantly, thank you for considering Mirage for your entertainment needs!

Spectrum Band

Spectrum is proud to announce that we are a recipient of the 2013 “Best of Weddings” award from The Knot! We were also honored to receive the WeddingWire 2013 "Bride's Choice Award" as well as this same award for the past 5 years and have many NEW reviews from past clients. Additionally, we were selected as the "Best Band in St. Louis" in Modern Bride national magazine for two years in a row! We are an award winning 9-piece dance band that is one of the most requested and entertaining professional local bands as you can see from the band's web site schedule. Spectrum is comprised of some of St. Louis' BEST professional musicians as you can easily confirm by reviewing our extensive audio and video demos. We have the talent necessary to surpass your expectations and ensure that you experience the best band possible. We provide a “real” state-of-the-art sound system that’s continuously being upgraded for perfect CD audio quality and a new light system with 32 LED arrays for a stage appearance that is absolutely dazzling. Our latest addition (that is only offered by Spectrum) is the flagship TD-30 electronic drum set from Roland. It not only looks great and makes the songs sound exactly like the originals but it also allows us to have complete control of the band’s volume. Experience it via our youtube videos. One of our most important features is that a professional engineer is always on site for each performance to ensure that the sound/volume and lighting are always perfect! You can be assured that our musicians are not awkwardly trying to run the sound and light systems while performing on stage. We have been performing for over 20 years and featured in "Southern Living Magazine", "St. Louis Bride Magazine", "Martha Stewart Wedding Magazine", "Post-Dispatch", "Best Bridal", "Modern Bride Magazine", and recently featured as one of only two bands in "The St. Louis Wedding Book". We were also featured in the international magazine "Modern Drummer" as one of the most successful local bands in the country. We are members of the American Federation of Musicians and can provide proof of liability insurance upon request (always ask). Our comprehensive web site is fun to review and proudly includes: our complete schedule with past and future dates to give you comfort and establish credibility (we don’t use the tactic of “hiding” our schedule); our huge song list that reflects the musical diversity of the band; hundreds of "current" unsolicited reviews from past clients; plus 24 HD videos and 85 audio demos (more than any band in the Midwest). We’ve provided all the tools necessary for you to accurately attend a “live” audition from the comfort of your own home! Most of our bookings are from guests that attended a previous performance and they want to guarantee the same quality and excitement at their event. We've performed at events as small as 50 guests and as large as 5,000 (we opened for ZZ Top at the Scottrade Center during an IBM international conference), so we know how to make your event or wedding a tremendous success. Let the Spectrum Band bring this high level of experience, professionalism, and elegance to your special occasion!

We take musical gems from bands like the Pink, Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Led Zeppelin, dice and slice them add a dash of classics from Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac, put them in a blender, and make them our own. Adding to our recipe, Melanie's vocals are the icing on the cake, the syrup on the pancakes, or the chocolate in your peanut butter.

Whether it's for hundreds at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel's Crystal Ballroom or local Jazz Festival, an especially classy wedding, a magnificent anniversary party, or a swanky fund raiser, the Kevin Mitchell 4 provides swingin' Martini Music that will make your event especially memorable. We perform with energy and a sense of fun that is infectious, and have been called "the hard-swingin' quartet around." We are pianist/guitarist Kevin Mitchell, singer Barb Jochens, saxophonist Steve Kauffmann, and drummer Clancy Newell, who collectively have been entertaining St. Louis crowds for over 60 years. We've provided atmosphere and background music on the slow side and also kept people on the floor dancing for four hours straight – and everything in between. Our finely honed repertoire includes the work of Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Cole Porter, Bobby Darin, Miles Davis, Burt Bacharach, and even Diana Krall, Dido, Tracy Chapman, and Van Morrison … some rockin' blues tunes are usually thrown into the mix as well. Please go to our site or our song list and you'll get what we mean by "Martini Music." And as one of the especially classy non-profits who are asking us back for their annual fundraiser says, "You were so great to work with and brought so much energy that we would LOVE to have you back if you're available!
