Why do I have a limit on how far away people live in order to post? This is called "St. Louis Music Classified", not "USA classified". The reason this site has taken off is because it is a local site. When a person looks at an ad there is a good chance they are within driving distance for weekly practice (obviously this depends on the person and how they feel about driving) or close enough to meet someone face to face to make a transaction on items being sold. Sometime I make exceptions on distances. For example, if a person that is selling something says they are willing to drive to St. Louis to deliver the item, then I might post this ad even if they live in Kansas City. If your band plays gigs mainly in St. Louis then I might consider posting your ad. Sorry if this doesn't work for those living outside the area but this site was made for the St. Louis area and I feel that keeping thing local is what has made this site successful. The map below shows the ranges for posting. The red ring is for people looking for bands or other musicians. The blue ring is for people selling items. This will give you a rough idea of what I except and I reserve the right to vary from ad to ad. Obviously if you live outside the areas shown you can still reply to an ad. If you live far away and are wanting to drive to the area to practice or buy an item then that is great. One last thing. If you do contact me to ask a question, you will get much better results if you keep the conversation friendly.
